Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale. This list of recommended jet ski gear encompasses what’s essential, practical, and also just plain fun! These jet ski accessories will make sure your next day on the water is the best ever.

jet ski accessories

In no particular order, we think these are the accessories that no self-respecting jet ski owner should be without.

While some are essential pieces of PWC kit, others are just practical or just make life on the water a bit more fun.

There’s everything from telescoping paddles and SOS distress beacons for emergencies to the compact waterproof speakers for those summer tunes.

There’s certainly something for everyone!

We’d love to know what your “go-to” jet ski kit is too. Be sure to let us know down in the comments section!

1. Bungee Dock Linejet ski bungee dock line

A bungee dock line is one of those jet ski accessories that every PWC owner should own. Seriously, tying off with a bungee dock line is way more convenient than marine rope.

Having the ability to stretch provides a little bit of give on choppy days too. This means the bumps and shocks are absorbed for that little bit more protection. For anyone who wants a tighter fit, the excess line can be wrapped around the cleat.

This bungee dock line by Kwik Tek can stretch from 6 ft to 9 ft and is recommended for PWC of up to 4,000 pounds. It’s really well priced and built to last.

2. Yeti Cooler

Yeti cooler

Being prepared for a long day on the water means packing enough food and drinks to last. Furthermore, all those keen on a spot of fishing need somewhere large and cool to keep their catch. The Yeti cooler is the perfect solution.

This huge cooler from Yeti is perfect for life on the sea. With a 26 can capacity, it’ll easily keep you stocked up.

It’s a bit pricier than your average cooler because it’s more durable. It’ll absorb those bumps and thumps with ease and even the latches are specially designed with sturdiness in mind. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

It has 3-inches of PermaFrost Insulation that will keep your ice frozen for the length of your trip and won’t become a pool of water like with most coolers.

3. Jet Ski Rack

jet ski fishing cooler rack

What’s the point of having a cooler if you don’t have anywhere to put it?  A jet ski cooler rack eliminates the need for straps and chords.

As a bonus, it matches perfectly with the Yeti cooler mentioned above.

4. CamelBak Backpack

CamelBak backpack

Staying hydrated on the water is important, and a Camelbak backpack is a great option if you don’t have room for a cooler or cooler rack.

Camelbak’s are backpacks that hold water in them and have a long straw tube that’s connected to the reservoir. They’re really popular in the MX and ATV world, but PWC enthusiasts use them as well.

These are great jet ski accessories but they can also benefit hikers, campers, or anyone who goes off-roading. Besides, when out riding on the sea I use mine when going on long runs. It’s a really useful piece of kit that I use a lot!

5. Waterproof Speakers

waterproof jet ski speakers Having music on the water always makes riding much more fun. Good waterproof speakers are mandatory jet ski accessories.

The Oontz Angle 3 Ultra is one of the best jet ski stereo systems available. These wireless Bluetooth speakers can be used on any power sports vehicle, making them compatible with every PWC out there.

The battery lasts up to 20 hours on a single charge and they sound great too. What’s more, they’re really well priced. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

6. Universal Waterproof Phone Case

Waterproof Phone Bag PWC

The amount of money and information invested in our phones should be protected. I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that’s been unfortunate enough to break a phone because of water damage.

There are a bunch of waterproof phone cases out there, but as old phones become obsolete, so do their cases. Instead of buying a new waterproof case every time you get a new phone, you can invest in a universal case that will last for years.

This is more of a pouch than a case, but it’s weatherproof and can hold almost any smartphone. It can also work well for holding wallets and other important documents that need to be kept dry.

I’s a small price to pay to protect all your important information and photos.

7. Dry Bag

Blue SKORCH Dry Bag jet ski fishing accessories

While on the topic of waterproof items, it’s worth mentioning the importance of a dry bag. Jet Skis Accessories | Watercraft Parts

Dry bags keep valuable items sealed off from the elements. Sometimes the waterproof storage on PWC is limited so dry bags can be very useful jet ski accessories.

Your dry bag should include things like a small towel, a screwdriver or pliers for repairs, a flashlight, and sunscreen.

Plenty of different dry bags out there offer their own cool features. The Earth Pak dry bag is one of the better options because of its adjustable strap and the buoyant material that allows it to float if dropped in the water. As far as dry bags go, not much tops this one!

8. GoPro

Go Pro Hero 7 front

GoPro have become the standard camera for any action sport. They are extremely easy to use even for those who aren’t tech-savvy. GoPro’s are such great jet ski accessories because they allow you to document your fun out on the water.

At the time of writing the new GoPro Hero 7 is making a huge impact on the action camera market. With amazing new image stabilization, it gives smoother video shots than ever before. It even looks smooth when out on the water. It’s also the first GoPro to shoot in 4K resolution for the most detailed shots ever.

There are so many things to love about the new Hero 7, you’ll wonder how you did without one for so long. Ok, it’s not exactly one of the most essential PWC accessories out there, but it’s certainly one of the coolest!

9. Telescoping Paddle

Jet Ski paddle accessory

A telescoping paddle is one of the best jet ski accessories to keep stored away. They’re collapsible so they don’t take up a lot of room and it’s worth the little space it does occupy. It’s only 20 inches long when stowed and expands to 42 inches when needed.

There are a ton of different options but the Attwood telescopic paddle is reliable and fairly cheap. No one wants their jet ski to break down but this is a great item to have in case that happens. This little paddle could be a literal lifesaver!

10. Jet Ski Anchor

Jet Ski anchor

A good anchor is definitely an essential jet ski accessory, and this little anchor is one of the best in the business.

There are several types of jet ski anchors. In our eyes, the best choice for most people is this Airhead Folding Anchor because it takes up very little room and is relatively hassle-free.

There are also jet ski anchors such as sand anchors or a screw anchor systems. Both options work well but may require a little more work than a folding anchor does. It all depends on the situation and personal preference. I like this one because it has a float on the end that connects to the jet ski which prevents the rope from getting stuck in the intake.

Check out our post on the best jet ski anchor system for a more detailed explanation.

11. Helmet

Jet Ski Helmet Accessory

A helmet should be worn when doing any sport that involves motor powered engines. Riding a jet ski is no different. If you think crashing into water can’t hurt you then you are very wrong!  Finding a jet ski helmet can be difficult but there are lots of alternatives such as MX or BMX helmets.

This helmet by TORC is a great choice. The best jet ski helmet is going to be breathable and preferably have padding that dries easily in case if you happen to fall into the water. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

12. Goggles | Waverunner parts For Sale Denver

Jet Ski Goggles

Getting a pair of polarized goggles (or at least some polarized sunglasses) is definitely recommended. Polarized material deals give you better vision in low light and also when there is glare from the sun. A pair of goggles is also going to keep your eyes free of water when traveling at speed.

If your helmet doesn’t have a face shield, then a nice set of goggles will definitely come in handy.

If you don’t fancy sporting some goggles then a good set of sunglasses will do the job just fine.

13.Solar Charger

jet ski solar battery charger

A solar charger is one of the best PWC accessories you can buy.

Battery chargers are almost like an investment. They’re good to have in case your jet ski battery dies on the water, and they can help maintain your battery’s life by trickle charging it during the off-season.

All Powers makes one of the best marine solar chargers out there. It’s weatherproof and works in all daylight conditions. It’s very well priced too for what is a very cool piece of kit.

14. PWC Fender

jet ski fender

When a PWC is docked, wakes can cause it to bump and rub against nearby vessels or the dock itself. To protect your watercraft, (and objects around it) a jet ski fender can be attached to your PWC’s outer trim. This is always a good precaution to take if you really care about keeping your jet ski well maintained.

The reason this made it to our list of essential jet ski accessories is that almost every PWC owner has to dock at some point, and fenders are the best way to keep hulls in good shape.

To learn more, you can check out my article on the best jet ski fenders.

It’s recommended that at least 2 PWC fenders be attached to your jet ski to ensure the hull is fully protected.

15. Jet Ski Cover

Jet ski cover

After every use, and especially after every season, a jet ski cover should be put on all PWC to ensure they’re properly protected from the elements. Even if they’re being stored inside, jet skis should be covered up. It’s one of the easiest and cheapest ways to protect a jet ski when it’s not being used.

This cover has easily adjustable side straps and is made from a durable polyester stellex fabric that is built to withstand the elements. It’s also got zippered access doors on each side and air vents to reduce moisture build-up and wind getting trapped.

16.Life Jacket

Jet Ski Life Jacket

If you own a PWC then you most likely already own a life jacket, but that doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade.

O’Neill’s Superlite USCG Vest has amazing ratings and reviews. It’s designed to minimize bulk while optimizing buoyancy. It’s lightweight, soft, and comfortable but remains as buoyant a vest as you’ll find. There aren’t many vests that allow full mobility like this one does.

17. Race Collar

race collar

Some people may think a race collar is a little too much, but if you plan on doing any racing then it’s a good precautionary measure in case you get tossed. It’s a small price to pay to protect your neck!

If you get a good collar, eventually you’ll start to forget you’re even wearing it. The EVS Sports R2 Race Collar is one of the more comfortable options available.

18. Tow Tube

Jet Ski towable

A tow tube is easily one of the most fun (and most important) jet ski accessories you can have! There are dozens, maybe even hundreds, of different tow tubes available. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

The Super Mable Towable by Sportstuff is one of the best selling tow tubes right now. It’s a great starter tow tube, and younger kids have no problem staying on it. There are a few different versions available ranging from a 2 passenger model all the way up to a 6 passenger model.

There are plenty of other great towable tubes available, the Super Mable is just one of the most popular.

19. Tow Rope

tow rope

It’s important to have good quality tow rope when towing anything with a jet ski. The last thing you want is to take a turn and lose some passengers, or worse, your tow tube.

The Airhead tow rope can pull tubes from up to 60 feet away. It’s made from a pre-stretched UV-resistant 16-strand rope.

20. Impeller Protector

impeller protector

While on the subject of jet ski accessories for tow sports, it’s worth mentioning impeller protectors. An impeller protector keeps ski ropes away from the impeller on a jet ski. Although they aren’t really essential, they’re definitely recommended. They protect your rope but more importantly, they protect any passengers from rope kick-back.

21.Jet Ski Lift

jet ski lift

A jet ski lift allows PWC to be moved around while not in the water. Anyone who works on their PWC or moves it often knows the struggle of getting a 500+ pound machine around a shop. A good lift is one of the most valuable jet ski accessories a watercraft enthusiast can buy.

The Erickson personal watercraft sling is the most affordable jet ski lift. A complete review can be found here.

22. Sea Scooter

Sea Doo Dolphin Sea Scooter

For how cool they are, Sea Scooters are a pretty under the radar gadget. A Sea Scooter is a propulsion device used for diving and snorkeling. One of these can come in handy if you find a cool place to float around for a while.

Sea Doo makes some of the best sea scooters out there, the best of which is the Yamaha Sea scooter. There are a bunch of different models but the Yamaha is the most well rounded. A separate post on the best sea scooters can be found here. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

23. PWC Safety Lanyardbest jet ski lanyard kill switch

Safety lanyards are a tether that connects the kill switch on a jet ski to the rider’s wrist or life jacket. If the person it’s attached to falls off while riding, the PWC automatically shuts off.

The cool thing about this safety lanyard, in particular, is it’s retrofitted for all the major brands including Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Polaris.

24. Reboarding Ladder

Jet ski reboarding ladder

During the buying process, some people don’t know if they need a reboarding ladder for a jet ski. Obviously, one is needed for a boat, but PWC sit much lower in the water. In an effort to save money, people pass up buying a reboarding ladder only to find out later that they need one.

Luckily there’s a cheaper alternative that can be attached at any time. This jet ski boarding ladder by Hardline is an easy to store system made with two steps attached to nylon rope with a 300-pound weight capacity.

Of course, a factory-built boarding ladder would be better, but this is a great alternative. Learn more in my article about the best jet ski boarding steps.

25. Jet Ski Wetsuit

o'neill wetsuit

Investing in a good wetsuit or drysuit can extend your riding season by a few months every year which is exactly why it’s on our list of essential jet ski accessories. Even tropical climates experience colder days on the water from time to time, but that doesn’t have to stop you from riding.

A full guide on jet ski wetsuits vs drysuits can be found here. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale

26. Self Leveling Drink Holder
self leveling gyro cup holder for jet ski accessories

Having a nice cold beverage within arms reach is always nice on a hot day on the water. A self-leveling drink holder can be one of the best jet ski accessories for someone with an older model PWC that doesn’t have cup holders. The best part is they’re removable so you can choose when you want to have it attached.

27. Jet Ski Lock

jet ski lock

A jet ski lock is a simple investment that can really pay off. If a $20 jet ski lock can save you from getting your beloved personal watercraft stolen, don’t you think it’s worth it?

Most jet ski locks are durable cable locks that can be adjusted for different scenarios. The Master Lock is my lock of choice, but use whatever you have. Any jet ski lock is better than no lock at all. Jet Skis Accessories | Watercraft Parts

28. SOS Whistle

Every life jacket should really have a whistle. In fact, most states require you to have a whistle or air horn on board just in case the worst should happen.

This whistle is built just for emergency situations and emits a terrifyingly loud sound that is impossible to ignore. It reaches sound levels of +120 Decibels which to put into perspective is around the same as an air raid siren or firecracker. Definitely a “must-have” piece of PWC kit for anyone riding at sea.

29. First Aid Kit

Another essential piece of kit for a safe day out on the water. This waterproof & floating first aid kit contains 154 pieces so that you’re well equipped to deal with any accidents that might happen.

Despite packing so much in it only measures 9″x 6″x3″ so it will easily stow away on most jet skis.

There are cheaper options out there but most aren’t packed in a waterproof, floating bag.

30. Distress Light

Along with the safety whistle this is another piece of kit that should be in your possession if you’re riding out at sea. This distress light (or electronic flare) flashes a US Coast Guard specific SOS signal for up to 60 hours (consider a pyrotechnic flare lasts just a few minutes).

Its incredibly bright light (75 candelas of brightness) can be seen for up to 10 nautical miles in the distance.

Just remember to keep the 3 C batteries fully charged!

31. Fishing Accessories

Sea Doo fish pro

Fishing trips are one of the best ways to use jet skis and these days manufacturers are even making PWC specifically designed for this. Check out the Sea-Doo Fish Pro if it’s something that appeals to you.

Essential to finding the best catch is a good fish finder and rack for you rods. Don’t miss our guide to the essential jet ski fishing accessories where we recommend the best gear to get the most out of your fishing expeditions.

32. The Right Clothing

winter jet ski clothes

We’ve already discussed the essential jet ski accessories such as a good wetsuit and life jacket, but there are other things that can make your time on the water easier and more enjoyable.

For a start, a good pair of gloves should be in your kit. There are a couple of good reasons for this:

When riding at speed you will be gipping those handles like you’ll never let go! When it’s bumpy this is just going to result in blisters. Hand blisters are really annoying and they’re going to affect your control.

The second reason is the increased grip they allow. Again, gloves just add to the control you have over your PWC. They may look daft (in some people’s eyes) but they are extremely practical.

A decent rash guard is also a good idea. Wet suits chafe and you don’t want that ruining your day! This rash guard from TSLA should put a stop to that.

A pair of solid water shoes is also a great jet ski accessory. These shoes from Speedo have a solid reputation and do the job really well.

Set Your Jet Ski Apart!

So as you may have figured out, not all of these jet ski accessories are essential, but they definitely come in handy.

Some of these accessories are for safety, some of them are for fun, and some of them are just practical. What they all have in common is they can set your PWC apart from others and provide a better and safer riding experience. Buy Jet Ski Spare Parts | Waverunner parts For Sale
